New My Max Speed App
My Max Speed, a trademarked app for the android smart phone, tracks and records your speed. In addition to logging driving speed once in every five seconds, Max Speed can convert it to an Excel compatible spreadsheet. The Max Speed app can even trigger a text message to a pre-determined mobile phone. An ad-free version costs $4.99, but there is a free version too, provided you accommodate some advertising. Lincolns run smoothly; so smoothly that it is easy for an enthusiastic youngster wanting to check out how the wind feels flying by. Parents can relax on this score. My Max Speed allows great safety features. You can set a maximum speed that you think is safe and turn on a ‘send alerts’ feature. If your kid gets too adventurous and crosses the limit, the app will automatically send out an alert to your phone. Since you can password protect the feature, your kid can’t fiddle with it. Individual Lincoln owners or fleet owners would find the GPS locating feature of the Max speed app handy; the mobile app stores the location as a link along with time, speed and other details. You can send the link as a text message; makes it easy for your friend to trace where you and your Lincoln are. Fleet owners can use this as a cheaper alternative to expensive vehicle tracking devices. Though the My Max Speed app does not have law enforcement authority’s approval, it can help you to convince the cop out of slapping you with a speeding ticket. More Women Buying Lincoln Cars
Women are purchasing more cars from US based automakers, particularly of some brands which have historically been aimed at men. Automotive research site Edmunds tracked the cars bought by women recently and determined that women contribute 30 per cent to the growth of the brand. This means more and more women are turning towards luxury brands, namely Lincoln cars. So far this year, women account for 39 per cent of new car purchases.
According to Jody DeVere, chief executive of women-oriented auto advice site AskPatty.com, Ford and Lincoln brands provide cars that appeal more to women. She observes that, of late, the car companies have started realizing that marketing cars only by showing sharp turns at high speeds or sounds of revving engines do not appeal much to most women. Instead, she says women car buyers respond to advertisements that focus on safety features and new technology like Ford's Sync voice-activated system and iPod connectivity. Since women are more tech-savvy nowadays, they want a car to match. “Automakers are now understanding how women operate in today's world and depicting them appropriately," DeVere adds.
In the past, most car advertising was focused on males and provided limited appeal to women. “You have to appeal to everybody every day," a marketing manager of a well established brand states. Further, many carmakers are now using social media to popularize their cars. "They're building relationships," DeVere said, adding that young, tech-savvy women are "a very trusting group of individuals who rely on the reviews of their friends and family.”, otherwise known as social proofing.

LINCOLN Tops JD Power List of Most Dependable Cars
 Central Florida Lincoln, one of the leading Lincoln car dealers in Orlando, FL, proudly announces that Lincoln received the highest score for long-term durability among all vehicle brands in the annual J.D. Power and Associates’ 2011 Vehicle Dependability Study (VDS). Lincoln now leads the industry with the most reliable vehicles.
In the J.D. Power study, owners were asked to show problems with their three-year-old vehicles in the past 12 months, choosing from a list of more than 200 issues in eight diverse categories. The J.D. Power study also shows a correlation between vehicle reliability and purchase with almost 63 percent of new vehicle buyers indicating that a vehicle’s reliability and durability are leading factors when choosing a new vehicle.
According to David Sargent, vice president of global vehicle research at J.D. Power, attributed Lincoln’s jump from second place in last year’s study to “a lot of years of improvement. They have been working on this for 10 years.” Lincoln MKX, Lincoln MKZ (the second-highest performing model in the study) and the Lincoln Navigator, all performed well, he commented. Scott Tobin, director of Lincoln Product Development, was ecstatic with this achievement and said it was another great testament to Lincoln.
